Val di Fassa is located in the southwest part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders on to South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Catinaccio group (2,983 m), the Sassolungo (2,244 m), the mighty Sella group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small Avisio river meanders through the valley where three languages are spoken (German, Italian, Ladin) and passes many famous resorts. With 120 km of piste and 53 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti-Superski area and furthermore offers a connection to the world-renowned Sella Ronda. Val di Fassa, where tourism is the biggest source of income, offers its guests, alongside a first class ski area, plenty to see and do such as diverse leisure activities encompassing sport and relaxation, tradition and culture, hospitality and obviously the great Trentino cuisine.
