At the foot of the Kronplatz (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Pustertal, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis such as the 09 Winter Biathlon Worldcup, Pustertal Ski Marathons including the Gsiesertal run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 105 kilometres of piste, 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities assure a good deal of fun for everyone! This ski resort is also great for families. With an upgrade to the lift pass "Dolomiti Superski", you'll enjoy over 1,220 km of piste accessed by 448 lift systems in 12 ski areas. Antholz (1,241 m) lies in the community of Rasen-Antholz and is well-known as the heart of biathlon world cups and cross-country sports but also offers something for downhill skiers and snowboarders. The Riepen lift in the middle of the valley is especially good for beginners and young skiers. Wide, eminently maintained piste ensure enjoyment for young and old. Not far from Antholz lies the ski region Kronplatz with over 100 kilometres of piste and cosy ski huts for complete ski enjoyment. Next to the piste are toboggan runs "Staller Sattel" (5,000 m long) und "Steinzgeralm" (2,500 m long) for additonal winter fun. Various hiking tours offer hikes through fairytale-like landscapes and crisp snow.
