In 1968 Jean-Claude Killy made history on the slopes of Chamrousse when he earned three Olympic gold medals. The resort has lost none of its mystique since then. Chamrousse offers fantastic descents for advanced skiers but also perfect conditions for beginners and snowboarders. Our comfortable chalet-style apartments (built in 2005-2006) generally offer breathtaking views of the French lowlands, and will meet the highest of expectations. Chamrousse – Olympic slopes at a smashing price!
Chamrousse is located 30 km east of Grenoble and is known mainly due to the Olympic Games, but the resort also hosts one stage of the Tour de France. The westward exposure of the town guarantees not only excellent snow but also a lot of sun in the afternoon and evening. A particular attraction is the sunset over the French lowlands. In Chamrousse you can still enjoy the evening sun, even when it is already dark in the lowlands. No wonder "Chamrousse" literally means "red snow fields". Our accommodations are located in Chamrousse 1700, where you can reach the other districts Roche Béranger (1750) and Recoin (1650) by bus. Both districts offer amenities marking a modern winter sports resort, such as cosy cafes, pubs, restaurants, discos and of course several shops to stroll around in.
