Pow(d)er Week 2008

Last year's success of more than 600 enthusiastic participants means that this year must be even better! From 06/12 - 13/12/08 the ultimate season opening, Pow(d)er Week, will take place in Les 2 Alpes! And that from a sensational €98*!!! Snow-sure skiing up to 3,600 m, amazingly broad slopes - almost empty at this time of year, one of the best skiable glaciers in the world, and a unique snow park sprawling over 240,000 m². All this sets the stage for a slamming season opening. The Pow(d)er Week makes young skiers' and boarders' dreams a reality: Sports & fun, party & action - and all that for an unbelievable price. Depending on snow conditions, the entire ski resort is usually opened by the end of November. This means 200 kilometres of piste and a good chance of that powder snow we love so much!

Snowpark
The glacier is home to one of Les 2 Alpes' absolute highlights, the 240,000 m² large snow park. It offers two half pipes, a sensational boarder-cross, several jumps and other obstacles. It is unique in Europe.

Location
As in the previous years, Powder Week 2008 will take place directly in the centre of Les 2 Alpes. In the centre there is loads going on, even at the beginning of December. All the important facilities such as bars, discos, bakeries and supermarkets – as well as the all-important gondola – are located near to your accommodation. With the gondola "Jandri Express" you are able to ascend from Les 2 Alpes to 3,200 m on the glacier. Here you'll find an impressive panorama.

Pow(d)er Week 2007 - The Film

Just like last year, we had a film crew accompany us the whole week. That means there's a report about the complete event with all the fun on the slopes and the parties included.

Event and Party Programme (all inclusive)
As in the past, this year's Pow(d)er Week will feature several fun-filled tournaments (think snow volleyball and broom-ball) as well as a good dose of mulled wine to get in the mood. In addition to an evening in a mountain hut and various themed parties, we usually arrange a barbecue and an open-air disco (weather permitting). Again, we will wrap up the last ski day with a final race for everyone and attractive prizes. Our own DJ will spin the hottest tracks and heat up the atmosphere. Naturally we will host après ski and special disco evenings as well. After the success of last year, the legendary "farewell party" is the fitting end to an unforgettable week.

Jägermeister goes Pow(d)er Week
With help from our partner Jägermeister, Pow(d)er Week 2008 promises to be the party of the year! Starting with the Welcome Party, a promo team will be on hand with free samples of Jägermeister, helping get the week off to a great start. No one will be 'left out in the cold' at the open-air après ski, where everyone will get to test the newest Jägermeister drinks for free. Furthermore, you'll have the chance to win great prizes from the cult liquor company at several Pow(d)er Week events.

Accommodation
Our studios (one room) and apartments (two rooms) are located in several buildings in the centre of Les 2 Alpes, close to the ski lifts. Depending on the snow conditions, you should be able to ski in near to the accommodations. The accommodations are functionally equipped with at least one living/sleeping area, a kitchen or kitchenette with refrigerator, hob and oven, bath/shower and toilet. Most of the accommodations have a balcony and a locker in the ski room. The following accommodations are bookable during the Pow(d)er Week: Edelweiss, Le Flocon d'Or, Les Residences, Résidence Goleon, Le Cortina.
